Toongabbie Legal Centre Inc (TLC) is a community-based legal centre providing free legal advice, referral service and information to those who cannot afford to pay private lawyers and for those who do not know where to go when they encounter a legal problem.

TLC also makes contribution in the area of legal reform, conducts community legal education seminars, and provides legal information.

We provide a drop-in service. No appointments are necessary.

TLC is open between 6.00-9.00 pm on Thursdays and between 9.30 am-1 pm on Saturdays.

Clients are expected to drop in during the following times only:

Thursdays after 6.30 pm

Saturdays after 10.00 am

You can find us at the Hall next to St Anthony’s Church, 27 Aurelia Street Toongabbie (close to Toongabbie Railway Station).

Since 1 December 2011, TLC has operated an outreach legal service, known as Blacktown Legal Centre now located in the office of the CatholicCare at the corner of First Avenue and 38 Prince Street Blacktown. BLC functions on Thursday evenings: 6-9pm and on Saturday mornings: 9am-1pm: Clients are encouraged to drop-in between 6.30pm and 8.30pm on Thursdays and between 9.30am and 12.30pm on Saturdays.

NOTE: There are a few occasions when we cannot use the Hall next to St Anthony's Church. When this occurs, we operate for that session only from Boronia Multicultural Services (10A Octavia St, Toongabbie), at the intersection of Aurelia and Octavia Streets in Toongabbie.

The Centre is staffed by volunteers and includes a team of solicitors, migration agents, law students and social workers, as well as those with expertise in financial planning, finance, IT and education.

Our Volunteers speak a number of community languages.
